Silver medal winner at the Franconian Winegrowers' Association ("Fränkischer Weinbauverband").

"Präzision 2021" is a very interesting blend of 84% Silvaner from the very dry year 2021 with 16% Riesling from the - in Franconia - more than humid 2020. While the Riesling had the opportunity to mature in a barrique for almost 2 years and to develop intense vanilla tones, the Silvaner was mainly (exactly 79%) matured in steel barrels. The remaining 5% were not pressed instead fermented as whole grapes, completely untreated, in balloons as Orangewine. They give the "Präzision" its wild character, which is difficult to describe. A beautiful blend of the classical honey tones of the Silvaner with the vanilla tones of the Riesling and the "Unknown".

A fresh terrace wine that follows on from the equally fresh and mineral "Sonne 2020". Slightly drier, but also with less acidity and slightly less alcohol. It flows easily over the tongue. A bouquet of citrus fruits on the nose. Stimulating acidity on the palate. A beautiful colour.

Our Best

After bottling the Silvaner from our first barrel, we decided to transfer the one previously held with the second barrel into a chestnut barrique for a further 5 months. The result is a beautiful, dry white whine with a creamy texture and discreet hints of vanilla and marzipan.
